Transportation Reminders & Updates

• Bus Riders - The bus lane is for GCPS buses and special tags ONLY

• Car Riders - Be ready to get out of the car as staff will not be able to open all car doors.

• To help us maintain a smooth and safe environment, we ask for your cooperation:

  • Do not block intersections or roadways. This is a traffic violation, and Gwinnett County Police will issue tickets.

  • Do not make U-turns into surrounding neighborhoods. This creates unsafe conditions and has been a major concern raised by community residents.

  • Use the school bus. We strongly encourage you to use school transportation. It is the safest and most efficient way to reduce traffic congestion.

  • Park and walk (AM). Walkers must use the sidewalks and be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Walk your students to the sign stating staff/students only and allow them to flow into the traffic pattern with other arriving students.

  • Park and walk (PM). You must update your PM transportation so your student has a walker tag.

• Kindly and carefully follow directions of all resource officers and Ivy Creek staff members during arrival and dismissal.

By following these simple guidelines, we can keep our roads clear, strengthen our partnership with the surrounding community, and most importantly, keep our students safe.
